Well it's been a while since I last blogged, partly because I kinda forgot about it, and partly because I don't think anyone looks at it. Anyways, since our trip to Cancun, not too much has happened. Kyle's been working at US bank as a personal banker and going to school on Tuesday and Thursday nights. He likes it well enough, but I'm sure he'll be happy once he's finished. I've got a job at Bravo Arts Academy working in the daycare. It's not the best job in the world but until I finish school, it'll have to do. I have one more semester to go so I'll be graduating in the fall. Whoo hoo! Other than that, not much has happened. We're looking forward to our next cruise in March to Cozumel. Unfortunately we'll have to start paying for our vacations after this one.

Cancun!

So we just returned from our second trip to Cancun, Mexico in a year and a half! So crazy! I don't know how we get so blessed! We got there on Friday and spent all day Saturday on a catamaran, which is a sail boat, and we sailed out to an island pretty close to Cancun. There we went snorkling and saw so many cool fish! Then we went on the island and had lobster for lunch and went shopping and just chilled on the beach. The next day, we went kayaking and spent most of the day just swimming in the ocean and laying on the beach drinking free virgin pina coladas! It was so nice! We're so lucky!

Back in Utah!

Well we made it through the summer and now we're back in our beautiful home in Syracuse! Yea! Since coming home, Kyle has been looking for a job and has had several interviews. I started school again on the 23rd at Weber. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet, but so far it's not too bad. Kyle starts his masters in two weeks so we'll both be very busy with school. We spent a weekend with my family at the lake and at my brothers farewell which was bitter sweet. We got ourselves a little, (well maybe not so little) basset hound. We've named him Norman and he's quite a characher! He spends a good 23 hours of his day nappping, the other hour he spends trying to get us to play tug-a-war with him.

21 isn't old!!! I'm still SO young!

So my 21st birthday has come and gone and I don't feel any older or younger. It's strange that as you age, it seens to be less and less important. As long as i stay in my 20's I'll be fine with every birthday that passes! Ha ha Well I spent the week before my birthday in Utah visiting my wonderful family and going to my dear cousin, Natilie's wedding. I LOVE going to sealings! They are so powerful and everytime I go to one, I'm reminded of Kyle and I's own wedding day and how happy we are! Being married is truely the best thing in the world and I'm so lucky to be married to Kyle! He's so great! On my birthday, we went to church and then enjoyed the day together in the heat of Houston on waterslides. So we only have 2 full weeks left until we're back in Utah for good! I start school on the 23rd of August, and Kyle starts in September. We're so excited!!! Here's some pictures from my birthday week!

Crochet flowers!

So I learned a new skill while I've been out here. In addition to hot pads, rags, and baby blankets, I can now crochet headbands and flowers! So cute! I'm so proud of them! I'll have to make some for all my little neices! The best part about the flowers is that they're detachable so they can go from a headband to a beanie to just a hair accessory. SO FUN!

We went to see the Sugar Land firework show by sitting in the field in front of the middle school. They were kind of far away but they were still pretty neat! Only 7 more weeks!

We're halfway there!

Well we're halfway through the summer, and Kyle says it's gone by quickly. For me, however, I would have to compare it to watching a snail race; boring and seemingly endless. Not that there are no good times. During the summers we have a renewed love for the sabbath. It truely is the day of rest for Kyle and a day or togetherness for us both. So far Kyle has sold consistantly well and is projected to do just as well for the rest of our time in Houston. His best week has been 18 systems and we both hope the good luck continues. Kyle spends his days knocking doors in the heat, (well lately the pooring rain) and I try to keep myself busy with school and my new found cooking skills. Kyle's been eating a lot better now a days, much more than the sandwiches he used to get everyday. Because we're starting to count down the weeks, it makes it a little harder to stay completly commited to being out here. We're really looking forward to getting back to our house in Syracuse and to go camping and to just have no more doors to knock!

Sea World

So we spent last sunday at Sea World in San Antonio with Brooke and Jeremy and their little girl. I've never been to Sea World before and the last time Kyle went there he had ice cream and was sick the whole time so it was a pleasant experience for both of us. It's crazy how they get all those sea creatures to do such crazy things. We saw the sea lions, dolphins, and shamu (who apparently lives at every sea world... I wonder which one is the real shamu...) It was good to do something fun that had nothing to do with selling!

So we decided to break up the 24 hour drive to Houston, and stop in Colorado and visit Kyle's sister Kristen and her family. Luckily they were willing to put us up and feed us. It's a VERY long drive. We spend the next morning seeing the sights which for us meant to Airforce Academy. Dane went there and works there so we got to go for free. We went with our cute little nephews and saw the cadets and the plane statues and the neat chapel. The chapel has different rooms for all sorts of different religions. It was a great experience and a nice break from our continuous driving. Thanks Dane and Kristen!

Well after many calls to update my blog, i have done it, and in the process I leared cool new things to make it all cute. A shout out of thanks to my new friend Nicki for that! So here's the update since the last time I wrote which was.... last summer. Ha ha well much has happened. After we left St. Louis, Kyle and I retuned to Logan. After a few weeks of nothing to do and extensive bordom, the college graduate decided to get a job. Kyle landed a job with lifetime products as a sales rep, so we decided to move closer to his job.
This decision took us to Syracuse, UT where we bought our very first house! It's a cute four bedroom, 2700 sq. feet, little haven for us. We love living in Syracuse! We even got a dog to go with our fenced-in yard. We also had the amazing opportunity to go to the Bahamas on a free cruise! We spent a week hanging out on beaches and gaining multiple pounds from the continuous intake of food. Unfortunately, Kyle's job just didnt' pay enough so we decided to be platinum people again and leave our new house and dog and go to Houston, Texas for the summer and make double what he would've made all year long. So we packed up and went back to apartment life. So far kyle's rocking the sales world as is his custom. I'm currently in three online classes and working in the office again answering the phone. We reached our year of marriage mark in March so we're old pro's now! So far so good!

Well now that I've gotten the posting pictures down, here's what's next. After we were married we lived on campus to the end of the school year then we moved to St. Charles, MO. Why would anyone want to move to St. Charles? I couldn't tell you because I didn't really want to move there, but it's turned out not as bad as expected. Kyle's working for Platinum Protection for his 4th summer and is thriving. I work in the office schedualing installations... it's something to do. In a nutshell, Missouri is hot and very humid.

Starting a life together

Well I kept being bugged about creating a blog spot because apparently, when you get married you must create a blog spot or you get cast out of that 'super exclusive married people club.' In my opinion, that would be bad. So, here I am to tell our story and save our social standing in the above mentioned club.

I met Kyle fall semester 2007 in my freshman year at Utah State University. We were neighbors and quite conveniently, he was by brother's roommate. We went on a first date which mounted a second one but then it faded. Once school was out, Kyle went to sell security systems in Houston, TX and I stayed in Logan to build my feeble financial situation. Come Fall again in 2008, the first weekend of school, I received an unexpected call from Kyle, who I had not spoken too since school. We went to the demolition derby and it just took off from there. After that week we were together. We were married on March 7th, 2009 in the Logan Temple. It was the perfect start to an already exciting life!
